Bad puppy!

Went to walk the Pits and the second I walked into the house I noticed that there was something amiss. The puppy had torn his bed up; green foam and cedar chips were all over the living room. Lola and Judge were off the couch in seconds with innocent faces ready for their walks. Lots of snow and not so fun driving conditions made our walk a bit short and only in the neighborhood on leashes.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

This holiday week I am staying with Nick, Lucy and Louie the cat. We shall be thankful that we have each other and that it is not snowing! I hope everyone enjoys their turkey dinners with their loved ones. Be safe!

A little more Judge and Lola

Had to share pics of a happy dog and a stubborn one. Today’s walk ended in Judge going on a solo run and Lola sitting next to me as she watched her brother play. Lola thought she had chosen the end of our outting. Little did she know that her brother would take off for a run on his own in an open field of about an inch of icy left-over snow.

Judge Ran

Turned around…

…and ran some more.

Okay I get the point!!!

The Pits…

This week I am taking two very adorable Pits on exercise walks. Colorado is a beautiful state that offers “open space” areas. The trails are great albeit muddy. Judge and Lola are enjoying every moment of the wilderness/wildlife. We walk and walk until Lola says stop and trust me when I tell you that when she says stop..it’s unmistakable. Meet the kids…

There’s a rabbit…I SWEAR!!

Yum SNOW!!

M&M and Ditty too

I met Magic, Mugsy and Ditty in the Denver sunshine, how were we to know that what appears to be a blizzard, would occur.

Everything was going good for the girls. They were happy and not openly missing their family until the October storm occurred. They may be happy and content with my company, but they are NOT thrilled with the snow storm. Ditty, the outdoor cat, is not at all happy that I will not allow her to go outdoors. She spent the better half of snow day #1 telling me so. Snow day #2 is a different story, as the accumulation has reaching a good 20 inches, she no longer is tempting to brave the elements.

The doggies are looking at me as if to say why did you shovel a path and not shovel the entire backyard??

So for this entry I will show you the kids and let you see the storm we are still braving.

Ditty the Kitty: begging to go out on Snow Day #1

Mugsy: wondering why the neighbor is making so much noise as he shovels

Magic: she looks good in the snow

Mugsy: poor thing did not like it at ALL

Henry

Henry wins the best haircut award in my opinion. He is an energetic pup, who loves to look out a hole in the fence to see if he can spot the neighbor cat. The cat and the squirrel teased him yesterday and made a mad dash across the top of the fence, one right after the other and Henry was late to the game both times.

Big face and Rookie

Meet Big Face! She is a two year old Shar Pei that I have been watching for a few days now. She’s very intelligent and is trying to train me on how to open the door for her any time she wants. Especially when she wants to play with the wild bunnies that visit the front yard.

Big Face

And this is Rookie, she likes to just stand in the open area and sniff the air. She was not very interested in looking at me as long as I had the camera in my hand. Listening to her snore like an adult human always brought a giggle and a smile to my face.
